Saltcotes Farm is a treasure! I was welcomed with homemade cake and tea, a true delight. Sarah whipped up a scrumptious three-course meal on Sunday, packed with local flavors. The Bay Horse pub, just a 10-minute jaunt, offered stunning views of Morecambe Bay and was a fab spot for a hearty meal.
Though the room had charm, the animal smell lingered a bit too much for my taste. I was surprised by the lack of a door between the bedroom and the en-suite, which might be bothersome for some. A shower would have been a fab addition over the bath, too.

Homemade treats and local flair
The welcoming atmosphere at Saltcotes Farm was remarkable. After settling in, we were delighted with homemade cake and tea, which made us feel right at home. The well-sourced breakfast ingredients and Sarah's splendid three-course Sunday dinner were highlights. With our dogs running freely and the stunning countryside around us, it was an idyllic retreat.
While the charm of a working farm is appealing, a few concerns arose, such as the stale towels and occasional animal scent in the rooms that detracted from the overall experience. The lack of a lock on the room door and minor maintenance issues also posed challenges during our stay.

i expected a delightful countryside retreat but was met with stale towels and a cold shower on my last night. the warm hospitality i anticipated was overshadowed by my supposed 'shared' bathroom situation. i almost considered giving a glowing review, but the lack of special treatment really ruined it for me. absolutely appalling!

Rustic charm with a working farm atmosphere makes for a unique experience. The garden view from the room really adds a serene touch.
The pervading smell of farm animals can be quite strong, possibly off-putting for some. Expect a lack of separation between the bedroom and en-suite, which might bother those looking for more privacy. The breakfast situation was confusing, and I missed out on a Continental offering due to a misunderstanding about what was included. Rooms felt somewhat dark and could use more cleaning to enhance comfort.

the garden view was super pretty and i loved the homemade cake and tea with the warm welcome. everyone was super chill and friendly, made me feel like family. enjoyed exploring the farm with my dogs and the breakfast was yum, especially those honey sausages. perfect place for some r&r and the location was nice and peaceful.
the cleanliness could have been better, and i was surprised that there wasn't a door between the bedroom and bathroom which might be awkward for some.

Delightful Hosts and Scrumptious Meals!
I had a lovely time at this charming place! Sarah was incredibly warm and welcoming, meeting us with homemade cake and tea. The breakfast was a hearty English affair, and Sarah even prepared a delicious three-course dinner for us. Plus, the scenic locations nearby made for perfect short walks, including a stunning Buddhist temple. the room could use more space for two people, as it felt a bit cramped.
